Camera probes – Application advice
All of our monitor endoscopes are modular and can therefore be equipped with different camera probes. This means that the right probe can be selected depending on the use case at hand. First of all, the length and diameter of the probe has to be defined. A 3.9mm scope is suitable, for example, for endoscopy of the combustion chamber of a diesel engine via the glow plug access. Scopes with 20mm or even more are only suitable for pipes larger than 1″, for example to evaluate and document weld roots.
Furthermore, the material must be selected according to the application in terms of the rigidity of the scope. There are flexible, semi-regid, angled and rigid probes. The differences are illustrated below:
